During an interview with Renee Rogers, she was asked several important questions about how she works for sellers and buyers. You may be curious about how she can help you.
Renee, how do you work with a home seller that hasn't been referred to you by any of your existing clients? Renee said, “Whether we have worked together before or not makes little difference. Everyone is treated the same where I am concerned. You'll have a brief visit with me and will be asked to answer some thought provoking questions. The answers to those questions will determine one of four outcomes. One of which could be that I am the correct REALTOR® for you to work with, and that’s great! At that point, we will go under agreement and you become my client. Other individuals may try to sell or purchase their own home themselves and at anytime may return to my professional assistance. Still others may decide to try even something completely different or do nothing at all.
When someone decides to sell their home and become your client what is the next step? Renee answers, “When you become my client, using my years of specialized residential experience you receive professional advice and unbiased opinion. You'll be guided throughout the entire process until your home is sold. During this time, something special happens, I become referable because you (my new client) have remained the most important detail of the entire process. Then, you'll want to tell everyone of your family members and friends about your great experience; so they can have the same great experience. The experience of having someone they can call if they need anything.
Similar to our first question, how do you work with a home buyer that hasn't been referred to you by one of your existing clients? Renee's response was, “You'll have a visit with me where I access your wants and needs to evaluate whether I'm the REALTOR® for you. In that visit there will be some very thought provoking questions asked to help define expectations. From there, you will know whether or not the expectation can be met or even surpassed. Once it has been established and we agree, I will be representing you as your agent, we will go under an agreement with you becoming my client. As with every new client, you'll be guided throughout the entire process, receiving the best advice, unbiased opinions and a skilled negotiator. All this, until you receive the keys to your new home. It doesn't stop there, I become your real estate consultant for life.
How do you work with a previous clients? Renee answers quickly by saying, “The same way, by asking all the same questions with the first appointment. We just pick up where we left off. Sometimes you may be moving out of the city or looking for a second home elsewhere. In this situation we interview the agent that will be helping you at the next location, so the you, the client will have a great match.
Everyone is wondering what makes you better than any other "real estate agent" I could choose from? With a smile and a twinkle in her eye, Renee answers, “That's easy, in a word, "referrable". Other real estate agents may be able to handle the actual transactional details, however when you work with me you are the most important detail in the transaction. By knowing ahead of time your expectations and knowing how to meet and exceed them, it makes you want to tell your family and friends. That makes you look like a hero, and they don't have to worry about other agents that might not have the proper focus on what is important to you.
Now about the money. What do you tell people wanting to sell their homes when they ask, "how much do you charge"? Renee’s matter of fact response is, “In a word, "value". If a person asked because they are basing their entire decision on the lowest price for getting the job done, the answer is; in the absence of value there is nothing left but price. Think about that for a moment. At that point, there is an exception that cannot be overcome. For those who choose the lowest price, I wish them luck and understand price is usually not their real issue. Most people like you choose value and that make the price worth every cent, and those people actually gain more profits. You remember the old saying, you get what you pay for”.
